This mistake has been found in Facebook’s Kids Messenger app. Children in this app could only chat with Facebook users, who were approved by their parents. But in the group chat section of this app, children could chat with strangers, and for this, they do not need the approval of their parents.

Facebook Messenger Kids app was launched in 2017

Facebook launched the Facebook Messenger Kids App in 2017 to give children a safe environment on their platform. This app was launched keeping in mind children under the age of 13 years.

According to the report printed in The Verge, Facebook has sent a notification to all the parents, describing it as a technical error. It has been said that after getting this mistake, Facebook is disabling the group chat. Facebook says we will fix this technical shortcoming soon.

Facebook Messenger Kids app features

Messenger Kids is actually a video and messaging chat, which can be chatted with family and friends after parental permission. Parents can manage messenger kids’ accounts through their Facebook account in this app.

Earlier, more than 100 child health experts had requested Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to close the messenger kids app. After the protests by lawmakers and experts, Facebook had decided not to make its ‘LOL’ in February this year, in which the children could share interesting post.
