Reliance Jio is once again preparing to do something for Indian customers like the company has done with Jio Sim and Phone. According to reports, Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi company is preparing to partner with Reliance Jio. Under this, some new products and services can be launched.
According to sources, it is reported that under this partnership, televisions and smartphones of Chinese companies in India will be sold through Jio Retail Network and Reliance Digital Store. According to a report by ET, some people from Xiaomi have met Reliance Jio officials several times last week.
In fact, Xiaomi not only sells mobile phones in China but also focuses on Consumer Electronics. In India, Xiaomi currently sells smartphones, air purifiers, power banks, speakers, router, and accessories. The company wants to bring its second consumer electronics product in India and it is expected that the company can do this by partnering with Reliance Jio.
Xiaomi needs to get permission from the authorities to bring and sell India’s products other than smartphones in India. Xiaomi has also applied for this. Since Reliance Jio has retail outlets throughout the country, so Xiaomi can work with Jio while using business-to-business marketing.
At present, there is no official statement from both companies. In the current round, Xiaomi is standing equally in the Indian smartphone market. Xiaomi a Singapore based research firm has sold 8.2 million units, while Samsung’s 7.3 million smartphones are sold.
