Jio GigaFiber was launched last year in August and has been under testing for a long while. The public used it under a Preview offer which basically let them beta test the service on a larger scale.
Consumers had to deposit Rs 4,500 as security and could enjoy 100GB of data at speeds of 100Mbps. This Jio GigaFiber offer is still available for public and consumers could use it for free until the commercial service rolls out by Reliance Jio.
JioGigafiber vs BSNL vs Airtel
After the arrival of Jio GigaFiber, it will be directly contested by BSNL. Let Technogot tell you that BSNL had recently started its FTTH broadband service in the name of Bharat Fiber a few days ago. Apart from this, Airtel also offers many good benefits to V-Fiber Plan users. It is believed that after the arrival of Jio GigaFiber, this segment may also start price-war, in which the benefit will directly got to the customers.
While Jio hasn’t announced the expected prices of its commercial plans, it is expected that just like its nature, Reliance would be aggressive in its pricing and offer the Triple Play Plan at a price of Rs 500.
