Cricket legend Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar on Monday asked his Facebook & Twitter followers to share phone numbers and other details of their friends for a marketing campaign.
After this campaign, many people objected that the master blaster was provoking people to disturb somebody’s privacy. Because of this scenario, this campaign proved wrong. However, this campaign has been removed from social media for the time being.
Let me inform you, this was done by Sachin Tendulkar for the Indian Premier League. Tendulkar had asked his followers on Facebook and Twitter to share names of his friends, number, and city, who make excuses to avoid getting better.
In this campaign, it was believed that Sachin can call himself. Security researchers protested as soon as the post became viral.
After deleting the post, it is not clear whether the people who had shared the numbers are still likely to get any kind of call from Tendulkar. Because, according to the news, as soon as the post was viral, a lot of people started sharing personal information.
However, it is quite unfortunate that such a campaign is done by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
Sachin Tendulkar had retired from international cricket in 2013 and since then he is constantly investing in tech companies and other vendors.
Sharing this kind of personal information about yourself or any relative or friend on any social media platform will definitely increase the risk of security.
Sometimes advertising companies use your information for advertising, and sometimes the situation becomes even worse. So be careful, never share personal details on social media.
