to hike our prices. Hence we have had to drop a few channels while keeping the popular ones on. Please bear with us for some time because we are doing this in our subscriber’s interest ^Rakhi 2/2

According to some reports, SPN’s 3-year distribution deal with Tata Sky had expired on July 31, 2018. From that time both of them are negotiating on a new deal.
This is interesting to know that Tata Sky’s subscriber base was around 10 million, which has now increased up to 16 million. SPN (Sony Pictures Networks) is eyeing a higher share of revenue from the Tata Sky, which DTH Player is not ready to part with.
In accordance with TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) regulations, Tata Sky on its own has identified total 11 SPN (Sony Pictures Networks) channels, other than the 22 disbanded, to be beamed so that Tata Sky subscribers can view these popular channels.
To watch these channels, customers/subscribers need to give a missed call on 9739290123 for activation of Aajtak and some other no. to activate desired channels as per their requirement.
According to Tata Sky, Sony Pictures Network (SPN) and TV Today are being forced to increase prices again and again. So we have discontinued many channels from our platform but have started broadcasting some famous channels.
Most people have started complaining about the inconvenience but phone lines are not reachable. There are total 32 channels of SPN, out of which 27 channels are currently closed altogether. While on the other side, SPN has informed the general public by placing advertisements in the newspapers that it has not increased the price to see any of its channels.
1. Popular Sony channels now carry this screen
2. Unpopular Sony channels (like Sony 6 Sports) don’t even show up on @TataSky channel list.
