WhatsApp payments feature confirmed! Confirms WhatsApp head Will Cathcart

Will Cathcart further added, “To boost digital inclusion in India, we can launch the (Payment) service across the India later this year after meeting regulations.

Significantly, due to the problem of RBI, conditions of authentication payment and data storage, there is a delay in the introduction of Whatsapp payment service in India. Although WhatsApp said in the past year, according to the terms of the RBI, the company has prepared a system to store payment related data in India. On the other hand, there has been an overwhelming response to apps such as PayTM, PhonePay and Google Pay in digital payment.
