Xiaomi‘s first offline store, Mi Home, was launched in Bengaluru, India on May 11. The company’s first offline store located in Phoenix Market City Mall, Bangalore, was opened on May 20, for the general customers.
Within a few hours when the company opened the home store, It sold 5 million rupees worth of the product. Xiaomi has informed that in the 12 hours, it sold out products worth 5 million rupees at the Mi Home store. It has been claimed that India‘s offline smartphone industry has not received such a tremendous record of sale till date.
The company issued a press release and said, “Xiaomi opened its first Mi Home store in India on May 20 to the general customers. In the first day, about 5 million rupees of the product sold within 12 hours. Such a record has not been made in the offline smartphone industry till date. It was further informed that on the first day, about 10000 Xiaomi Fans came to the Mi’s Home Store. Fan of 10 states participated in this sale.
Vice President of Xiaomi, Manu Jain had said that in the coming times, Mi will also open the home stores in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. The company plans to open nearly 100 Mi Home stores in India by 2019.
